Cat portrait in acrylic on boxed canvas 12 x 12 x 1 3/8", 30.5 x 30.5 x 3.5cm. I am a confirmed dog lover and for some reason I do not often get the opportunity to paint cats. This cat is from a snapshot I took on holiday in Greece. I tried to capture the peace and security of the cat in his cubby hole as he dozed in the heat of the midday sun, quietly hidden away from the world. I was interested in the lights and the darks as the sun hit the whitewashed wall and the consequent reflections and play of light and dark. I was also fascinated by the mix of paws and legs and which bit belonged to what. (Shipping extra).
